My Story….
My name is Adam Dees, I am the owner and operator of D-Shed Auto Restoration.
D-shed Auto Restorations has been in the making for over 32 years and has been driven by a passion for cars since a young boy, spending all my savings on buying and building model cars of all the classics.
Starting in Perth, as an apprentice in panel beating, I then worked my way around Australia working in many different levels of shops, enabling me to understand all the layers involved in this craft.
However, it wasn’t until I moved to London, was I able to truly master my expertise by working for Jack Barclay Bentley, who is World-renowned for their services with Bentley, Rolls Royce, Lamborghini and Audi.
I can easily say that my core strengths are learning and mastering every aspect of the job at hand, with this determination I was sent to Germany by Lamborghini and Audi to learn their technique of aluminium repair.
Returning to Australia, I first based myself in Sydney for 7 years, working across Porsche, Mercedes Benz and Bentley. Moving into management was a natural step. It became important for me to understand all the aspects of the industry, working in several Prestige shops, and finally returning to WA in 2012, my home place, to live in Fremantle with my young family.
With my passion and determination, I decided to start up D-shed Auto Restorations so that I could bring together all the aspects of my skills. D-shed is a boutique restoration shop that specialises in vintage, classic and antique vehicle body repair, based in O’Connor.
There is nothing more rewarding than taking a car back to its former glory, regardless of the size of the job, it’s a great satisfaction of mine. It’s exciting when a car arrives in the workshop, tired, rusting, neglected, and needing work. Then, gradually, as I realign or roll and repair it, it comes back to its former beauty. My passion is now my everyday,
